Description

The Aircraft Engineer will support defects outside of approved data limits for aircraft systems, engines, avionics and/or structures and interiors. Also, will support the preparation of reports for these defects to the equipment manufacturers and obtain necessary approvals and the preparation of customers' specific reports in regards to aircraft systems, engines and/or structures and interiors. Support Production in troubleshooting and support project preparation.
The Aircraft Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, prepare EA/EO, reports and draft repair proposals to equipment manufacturers for defects not covered by the available approved data, compile engineering reports required by the relevant company procedures and/or customer requirements, negotiate repair drafts or any other relevant issues with Service Engineering and obtain applicable approvals.  Support project preparation in terms of materials and special tools identification primarily for incoming defects, special modifications and Engineering orders, advise Production regarding aircraft systems/avionics and/or structures/interiors, engines and avionics related troubleshooting and close collaboration with Production to permanently improve the maintenance processes.
 

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with professional experience of at least two (2) years in the area of aircraft maintenance, design or manufacturing environment or Professional training in aircraft maintenance with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenance, design or manufacturing environment is required. Excellent communication skills, including fluent English (spoken and written), are a must. Good knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification specifications. Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, engines, avionics and/or in structures and interior is a must. Good technical and mechanical knowledge. General familiarization course (or type-rating course) for at least two (2) of the following aircraft types: A320 family, A330/A340 family, Boeing 737 CL/NG, Boeing 747, Boeing 757/767 or airframe structure/composite course.  Skills in MS Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; experience with SAP desired.
