Leader on-site Logistics (Material Management)

The Leader on-site Logistics is functionally and disciplinarily leading the material coordinators and storemen on-site, supervises and monitors their tasks. Is responsible to ensure smooth execution, high performance and cost efficiency of local logistics processes, reporting directly to the Manager Central Material Supply.
The Leader on-site Logistics responsibilities include, but are not limited to, manage all local logistics processes such as all warehouse related activities (receiving, inspection, issuing, picking, quarantine handling, shipping, storage of goods, etc.), internal/local transportation and aircraft customs clearance; take an active role in the implementation of solutions for process improvements within the department, track quality of relevant processes and conduct internal audits of the processes, ensure continuous training and further skills development of onsite logistics personnel, conducts annual performance evaluation of the personnel, produce duty roasters (shift plans) in accordance with requirements of running maintenance workload (e.g. organize adequate coverage for key project milestones) and ensure strict following of the rosters, provide input for regular reports and statistics, ensure a high level of housekeeping of the store area, determine proper methods for storage, identification and stock location and manage cycle counts.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Material Management with professional experience of at least five (5) years in the area of logistic processes (physical logistics, transport, planning and purchasing) is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a team leader is a must. Excellent negotiation, leadership and communication skills, including fluent English (spoken and written), are a must. Skills in MS Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; experience with SAP desired.
